The mission is to provide encouragement, mentoring and life-skills coaching to TANF and TANF eligible families. Mentors offer assistance with budgeting, education and employment resources, tutoring, household management, nutrition and job preparation. Families and mentors meet at least twice a month and maintain regular contact as they build meaningful relationships that promote achievement and provide support and motivation for families to meet their goals.

The mission of the Health Team Committee is to provide health education to all members of the Masjid Muhammad community, regardless of age, gender, or health status (mental, physical, and psychological). We have been achieving this goal by maintaining a monthly educational health board and free information for all our members; by maintaining an in-house automatic external defibrillator (AED) machine and CPR classes to teach members how to use it; and by keeping in contact with Community members who are homebound, shut-in, and/or unable to attend the Masjid. We are available to do blood pressure screening and provide first aid when needed.

The senior team attempts to keep our Members’ minds, bodies and souls alert and healthy by providing them, Spiritual guidance, Health Information, Field Trips, and Socialization. The Education Committee is dedicated to community preservation and growth through nurturing the intellectual and social needs of youth and their families, guided by the Qur’an, the Life Example and Character of Prophet Muhammedﷺ and the Tafseer of Imam Warith D. Mohammed.
Our commitment is to ensure that youth and their families have access to Islamic education and socialization, utilizing a Creation-based approach. We inspire youth to engage their intellect and cultivate their natural talents and interests. The mission of the CMC is to provide recreation, education, and support for married life. We organize workshops and seminars that help increase our understanding of the roles and responsibilities of being a spouse and for learning strategies to achieve marital success at a time when marriage is a failing institution in our society. One of our hallmark events is the annual Celebrate Marriage dinner or luncheon event. We include games, testimonials, and entertainment for all to enjoy. CMC looks forward to organizing quarterly events for married couples and those interested in marriage.

Since 2004 SHARE @ Masjid Muhammad has been committed to serving Seniors and families at risk of hunger by providing monthly food packages purchased through the SHARE Network, an auxiliary of Catholic Charities. Through donations from the community, SHARE is able to deliver food necessities without cost to most recipients. Since our inception, over 5,0000 packages have been distributed to both local as well as non-affiliated neighbors. The Green Team promotes the Prophetic model of environmental sustainability in community life. Our strategy is to partner education with actions that connect Islamic faith practices with creation care.
